Hurricane Gordon targets Azores and British Isles

Hurricane Gordon is breaking all the rules of meteorology and fighting northeast through the high ltitudes and increasingly cold seas. As it does it has intensified to an 80kt Hurricane and is expected to infact be even more intense that that. It is expected to slowly turn extra-tropical but glide by the Azores with sustained 70KT winds before turning north and crashing into Southern Ireland with 60KT sustained winds.

The NHC have already issued Azores with a tropical storm warning the first time this has EVER been issued.

As storm glides north against all rules the GFDL model indicated CAT 3 winds awhen the storm is halfway between the Azores and Britain.
